Growing up as an 80s child meant living through the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles craze that swept North America. I would say without question that TMNT had the single most influential impact on me growing up and is partly responsible for getting a pencil in my hand and learning how to draw. With this poster series, I wanted to stay true to the grunge art style of the original black and white comic book, while at the same time incorporate the 4 distinguishing headband colours that were later established for the television series.
